December 3, 2014 — The crew of a 47-foot U.S. Coast Guard motor lifeboat from Depoe Bay rejoiced Saturday morning over their rescue of the skipper and engineer from a crab boat that capsized and sank eight miles off Lincoln City.
But after a breakfast of Thanksgiving leftovers in the mess galley of Station Depoe Bay with grateful survivors of the crab boat, Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class Brandon O'Brien gave orders to the crew of Motor Lifeboat 47272 to get ready for more action.
