North Carolina has announced a series of workshops for individuals interested in applying for funding from the Fishery Resource Grant Program.
These grants allow people with hands-on experience to develop creative solutions to problems facing fishing and seafood industries. Priority areas are fisheries equipment and gear; aquaculture and mariculture; environmental studies; and seafood technology.
To help turn ideas from potential applicants into research proposals, North Carolina Sea Grant is sponsoring workshops in several coastal communities.
The workshops will provide information on topics, eligibility and the application process.
