NEW BEDFORD — A TV reality show will include a segment filmed at a New Bedford fish plant when it airs on CBS at 8 p.m. Friday.
"Undercover Boss" takes top company executives out of the boardroom and drops them, in disguise, into the workplace for a sneak peek at what is really happening within their own organizations.
This week's episode features Bernt Bodal, CEO of American Seafoods, who came to New Bedford last fall to find out what working conditions were like inside the American Pride's fish and scallop processing plant on Herman Melville Boulevard.
“It was a humbling experience for him but the show provided an opportunity to recognize some of the people who work for the company,” said Ron Rognes, vice president of corporate relations for Seattle-based American Seafoods, one of the largest seafood companies in the United States.
