June 9, 2015 — The following was released by the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation:
Happy World Oceans Day!
It’s not only World Oceans Day — June has also been proclaimed World Oceans Month. And we’re celebrating by making sure that everything is ready for the start of Capitol Hill Ocean Week!
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow for CHOW 2015. Online registration is closed, but you can still register for CHOW on-site at the Newseum.
Before the sessions begin, we must take a moment to thank our sponsors for making CHOW possible, and our Honorary Congressional Committee for their support.
Remember our tips before heading to the conference:
Keynote: The opening keynote will be at capacity so please arrive early. Reserved seating will be available for Premier Registrants.
Transportation: We strongly encourage guests to use public transportation. The closest Metro stations are Archives and Judiciary Square. There is limited, non-validated parking around the Newseum.
Mobile App: Make sure you download the free CHOW 2015 Mobile App for convenient access to the agenda, speaker bios, and much more! Search the Apple Store or Google Play Store for “Capitol Hill Ocean Week.”
Lunch: Lunches will be available for Premier Registrants. For Standard Registrants, there will be a very limited number of lunches available for purchase on-site on a first come, first serve basis.
There are two special lunch sessions this year:
- Tuesday: Special Panel: The Promise and Potential for Collaborative Marine Conservation with Cuba
- Wednesday: Networking Lunch hosted by the Women’s Aquatic Network
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email chowinfo@NMSFocean.org.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
Sincerely,
