The list of legislators scheduled to speak at the March 21 Keep Fishermen Fishing rally in Washington D.C. continues to grow. An encouraging sign is that those wishing to paticipate come from both sides of the aisle.
Last Friday, The Glouscester Times reported that both of Massachusetts’ U. S. senators, Democrat John Kerry and Republican Scott Brown are anxious to speak with those attending the rally, the second to take place in D.C.
Like its predecessor, which was held in February of 2010, the March rally focus on the reform of the Magnuson Stevens Act and that message will be carried to Capitol Hill by commercial and recreational fishermen alike.
