June 12, 2014 — Capt. Keith Colburn says crab fishing is more difficult than lobbying lawmakers, but one of the stars of Discovery Channel’s “Deadliest Catch” says working with Congress is definitely “more complex” than his day job.
“There’s a lot that goes into coming back here, hopefully trying to put the right message and trying to get the results you’re after. And that’s not a real easy thing to do in Washington, D.C.,” he said.
It was a return visit to Capitol Hill on Wednesday for Colburn, who has traveled to D.C. many times before and was last in town with reality TV cameras rolling during last year’s government shutdown. He testified then before Congress about the impact the shutdown would have on the fishing industry.
