Another state legislative committee is coming to Gloucester—one with a local flavor, and one that wants to hear from the local fishing community.
The Legislature’s Joint Committee on EconomicDevelopment and Emerging Technologies will be at Gloucester’s Cruiseport Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of a statewide"listening tour."
The panel, which includes both Senate Assistant Minority Leader Bruce Tarr, R-Gloucester, and state Rep. Ann-Margaret Ferrante, D-Gloucester, will focus its attention on fisheries and aquaculture, with experts on hand to raise and address the many issues each industry faces.
