Commercial fishermen from Southern New England will join others from around the country, including Alaska, to rally in Washington on Wednesday.
The fishermen say they’re being over-regulated and put out of business and that they plan on making their voices heard.
Tina Jackson and her partner have been fishing the waters of Southern New England collectively for decades now.
“We are so restricted on the limits we can have,“ said Jackson, of the American Alliance of Fishermen and their Communities. “Fishing is such an economically viable industry, and they’re eliminating us for no reason whatsoever.“
