Gear Conflicts: How to Avoid Them and What To Do If They Happen
NOAA Office of Law Enforcement invites you to join a discussion of methods to mitigate gear conflicts. Gear conflicts are difficult for all parties involved, but open communication and an understanding between fisheries can help. Representatives from our Office of Law Enforcement, the United States Coast Guard, the fishing industry and local states will discuss how to avoid gear conflicts, and what to do if and when they occur. We also hope participants will share their experiences and strategies for reducing conflicts.
