May 21, 2014 — Small, eel-like fish called sand lances have made May a great month for whale watching so far, according to a press release from the New England Aquarium.
Typically, a successful whale watch usually amounts to about two or three up-close views of whales, but lately, tourists on the Aquarium’s Boston Harbor Cruises have been seeing anywhere from six to a dozen whales during their three-hour trips.
