March 31, 2015 — A key state committee will hold a public hearing about a plan to add new restrictions to Maine’s resurgent scallop fishery.
State legislators are considering a law change that would limit scallop harvesters to 90 pounds per person, per day. The Marine Resources Committee is holding a public hearing on the proposed change on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Cross Building in Augusta.
