Rockport — As always, the 37th annual Maine Fishermen’s Forum has a full three-day schedule of panel discussions, fishing association meetings, meet-and-greets, two floors of trade show exhibits, family programs, a seafood reception, a banquet and dance on the last night, and a benefit auction to raise scholarship money for kids from seafood families.
The forum will be held Thursday through Saturday, March 1-3, at the Samoset Resort in Rockport.
The forum kicks off at 9 a.m. on March 1 with a “Summit of Maine Municipal Shellfish Programs” sponsored by the Maine Clammers Association. In the afternoon, folks will be able to learn about reverse engineering techniques to learn “How do Whales get Entangled in Fishing Gear?”
