April 4, 2013 — The Northeast Regional Office (NERO) and the Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC) of NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service have worked together to calculate the initial observer set-aside compensation rate for fishing year (FY) 2013. This is an opportunity for vessel owners, captains, crews, industry representative groups, and the New England Fishery Management Council (Council) to review the calculation and provide feedback.
