NEWBURYPORT, Mass. — November 26, 2013 — The Storm Surge speaker series continues at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, 6 Plum Island Tpke., with a screening of “Ocean Frontiers II: A New England Story for Sustaining the Sea,” followed by a panel discussion.
The film describes how people representing many varied interests have come together to work on the nation's first multi-state ocean management plan. The coastal waters off New England have long been an important resource for recreation, commercial fishing and shipping.
