November 16, 2012 — NOAA Fisheries is proposing to set catch limits for 2013 for the summer flounder, scup and black sea bass fisheries, and for 2014 for the summer flounder and scup fisheries.
These fisheries are managed cooperatively by the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council and the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission.
The National Marine Fisheries Service is required to publish specifications for the upcoming fishing year for each species and to provide an opportunity for public comment. Comments are due within the next 15 days.
