NOAA Fisheries today announced proposed measures to help reduce whale serious injuries and deaths.
These measures include a number of alternatives that were derived from proposals submitted by Take Reduction Team members (fishermen, scientists, state managers, environmentalists and fishing gear experts) and from comments received during public scoping meetings.
