October 18, 2013 — The following was released by the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council:
The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council has scheduled a meeting of its Ad Hoc Red Snapper IFQ Advisory Panel from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, and 9 a.m. until noon Wednesday, November 6, 2013. The group will meet at the Council Office – 2203 N. Lois Avenue, Suite 1100 in Tampa, Florida.
The Ad Hoc Red Snapper IFQ Advisory Panel will meet to:
– Review the Council's charge to the panel
– Review a summary of Reef Fish Amendment 26 – Red Snapper IFQ Program
– Review recommendations and conclusions of the Red Snapper IFQ 5-Year Review
– Summary of Administrative Changes to the IFQ Program
– Discuss the Red Snapper IFQ Program and referendum requirements
– Make recommendations regarding modifications to the IFQ Program
– Other business
