A decision on who will fill the nation’s top fisheries administrative post is an open book.
Nearly three months after many in the fisheries thought the competition for administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Fisheries Service was honed down to three contenders, NOAA is still accepting applications.
"Recruitment for this position is an ongoing process," Jennifer Austin, a spokesperson for NOAA, said in a telephone interview on July 31. "We are actively recruiting and considering candidates for this position."
