I fished out of Gloucester for more than 25 years and my father before me.
I fished from Eastport, Maine, to Maryland. I passedthrough many ports and talked with many fishermen in that time. Iremember one night steaming east of Cape Cod on the start of a trip, having 90 blips on my radar screen, all large factory trawlers hard attheir work of sucking up the ocean bottom with all the fish theytraveled over towing their huge nets. Do any of you who work atNational Marine Fisheries Service remember these years?
But you want to now send the U.S. Coast Guard to boardhonest working fishermen and fine them for having a couple of fish thatare a half-inch undersized. Shame on you all! Shame on you for being abully!
