A well-known Gulf of Maine herring fisherman said Tuesday he lost about everything when his fishing vessel sank some eight miles off the Maine coast.
Danny Fill, 48, was captain and minority owner of the Plan B, an 81-foot shrimp and herring seiner that sank en route to Gloucester from Portland last week.
Fill, 48, said he owned 49 percent of the Plan B, with the majority owned by interests associated with the Gloucester-based Western Fishing Co.
