Using lots of lobster bands and grumbling very little while doing so, Cape Ann's inshore lobstermen say the season was at least on par with 2009's, if not better — and it's given them much to be thankful for.
Many harvesters also received an added bonus in the mail this fall.
The season gave the lobstermen generally good weather except for two big exceptions.
March's storminess and accompanying 14 inches of rainfall, including the 8 inches dropped by a three-day, mid-month nor'easter, spurred strong ocean tides, turbulence and turbidity, made making a dollar out there very difficult.
