The Pew Charitable Trusts seeks a campaign associate for its Federal Fisheries Reform Project. The campaign associate will provide the information and research assistance necessary to design and carry out the campaign strategy. This position reports to the director of the Federal Fisheries Policy Reform Project and is located in Washington, DC.
Qualifications: The idea candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in environmental and public policy. An advanced degree and expertise in marine issues is strongly preferred.
The successful candidate should have excellent written and oral communications skills; a detail and results-oriented style with a focus on process and achievement; demonstrated strong analytical skills, including an ability to synthesize large amounts of information and to focus quickly on the essence of an issue; and experience with media and other communications strategies to deliver policy recommendations and/or scientific findings to policy makers and the public desired.
