The life and work of fishermen from Gloucester, New Bedford, and Portland will get national exposure with the History Channel's Nor'easter Men. The series premiers tonight at 9pm.
The documentary, three hour-long episodes airing from 9pm to 12am, chronicles four boats in the New England groundfish fleet during the winter fishing season.
According to the History Channel, "Today's fishermen who venture into the North Atlantic compete to reel in the biggest catches and largest paychecks. 'Nor'easter Men' follows the lives of rival New England crews as they brave storms, cold and exhaustion to bring their catch to market and mark their place in history."
