USFWS American Eel Conference Call and Webinar – October 16, 2014
Meanwhile, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) is conducting a status review for the American eel (Anguilla rostrata) to address an Endangered Species Act (ESA) 2010 listing petition. The Service must publish a decision on the listing petition in the Federal Register by September 30, 2015. The outcome of the ESA decision will be that the listing is warranted, not warranted, or warranted but precluded by other higher priority listing actions. This presentation will not be an update on the listing decision itself, rather an overview of what American eel information has changed in the last 4+ years. A Q&A session will follow.
