EMERALD ISLE, N.C. — February 4, 2013 — For the first time since 2005, fisherman can catch and harvest bay scallops in the Bogue Sound.
The NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources opened the season last week and it runs through April. However, some fisherman say the supply is already almost gone.
Fisherman say they wish officials would have opened the season earlier.
