July 23, 2012 — Officials with the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA), the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will host a public informational meeting and public hearing in New Bedford.
WHAT: On Tuesday, July 24, 2012, officials with the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA), the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will host a public informational meeting and public hearing in New Bedford. The purpose of the meeting and hearing is to discuss the EPA’s draft determination related to the Commonwealth’s proposal to develop the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal, a multi-purpose terminal that will provide critical infrastructure to serve offshore renewable energy facilities and accommodate international shipping. The draft EPA determination was released for public review and comment on July 13, 2012. The session will include presentations from EEA, followed by a public comment period.
