May 25, 2012 – Representatives of Pew Environment Group and five top chefs recently wrote Congress to thank them for their work in managing the ocean’s resources via the Magnuson-Stevens Act. They also state their excitement at the NOAA 2011 Status of U.S. Fisheries Report, noting that improvements are being made in the fishery as a result of proper management. In their letter they include recipes that incorporated legal fishing practices. Information about the status of the fish involved in the specific recipes is also included.
