Another state legislative committee is coming to Gloucester today — one with local flavor that wants to hear from the local fishing community.
The Legislature’s Joint Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies will be at Gloucester’s Cruiseport on Wed., June 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of a statewide "listening tour."
The panel, which includes Senate Assistant Minority Leader Bruce Tarr, R-Gloucester, and state Rep. Ann-Margaret Ferrante, D-Gloucester, will focus its attention on fisheries and aquaculture, with experts on hand to raise and address the many issues each industry faces.
