Some members of Maine's congressional delegation have spoken out against a plan unveiled in the Senate yesterday that could scrap a contentious new groundfishery management system introduced last year. Republican Sens. Scott Brown of Massachusetts and Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire introduced a bill that would eliminate the so-called catch shares system–also known as sector management–if it's determined that more than 15 percent of participating fishermen lost their jobs in the first year.
