GLOUCESTER, Mass — Tuesday, September 6th, 2011– Sponsored by the Gloucester Fisherman’s Wives Association, a new season for Cape Ann Fresh Catch, community supported fisheries – meaning you give a fisherman money to go fishing and receive a regular supply of the freshest fish available – begins tomorrow.
Sign up for a weekly or bi-weekly supply of fillets, whole fish, or alternating choices. The whole fish is a fabulous, flavorful challenge – something I congratulated myself for tackling every week, and which always earned high taste points at the table – but the fillets make life a wee bit simpler.
This is a great way to eat local fish and connect with the people who go to sea.
