HARTFORD, Conn. – July 20, 2010 – Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal is urging the American Lobster Management Board to consider alternatives to a possible five-year moratorium on lobster fishing south of Cape Cod.
Blumenthal on Tuesday urged the board, which meets in Warwick, R.I., on Thursday, to examine other conservation measures such as reducing the catch of egg-bearing females and creating no-harvest areas.
