Gloucester's legislative team will host a meeting tomorrow evening for people considering joining the fishing industry in Washington, D.C. next week to ask that Congress grant relief from inflexible deadlines for fish stock recoveries.
Tomorrow's meeting is set for 6 p.m. at the state Division of Marine Fisheries laboratory on Emerson Avenue.
State Rep. Ann-Margaret Ferrante, who is co-hosting with Sen. Bruce Tarr, said yesterday the purpose of the meeting is to help with logistics and to strategize the message for the mass rally scheduled for Feb. 24 at noon on the steps of the U.S. Capitol.
