March 6, 2015 — Want to recommend any ways to improve information collection on sea turtle capture in the Chesapeake Bay? Now's the time to speak up. The National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) at the United States Department of Commerce (DoC) is taking public comments on the process that Virginia net fishermen use to report incidents with sea turtles in the bay. NOAA announced the public comment period in the Federal Register of Wednesday, March 5, 2015.
NOAA is not proposing any changes to the form but will listen to suggestions. It is required to so so periodically under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995.
