MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. (AP) — Coastal waters in the southern part of North Carolina are reopening to anchored, large-mesh gill nets.
Officials with the state Department of Environment and Natural Resources say the waters will reopen shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday. The affected waters are located between the N.C. 58 bridge to Emerald Isle and the South Carolina state line.
