BOSTON (Saving Seafood) — July 15, 2014 — The following was released by the Boston Fisheries Foundation:
Food vendors will be comprised of some of New England's favorite seafood dining destinations including Yankee Lobster, Barking Crab, Big Rock Oyster, Daily Catch, No Name and Captain Marden's Cod Squad food truck. Fried clams, scallops, lobster rolls, oysters, seafood chowder, smoked salmon, stuffed clams. Topping off the featured foods will be the Lobster Bake tent presented by the Boston Fisheries Foundation.
Famous local chefs to include Bill Bradley from the New England Aquarium, Jose Duarte of the North End's Taranta, Nick Calias of the Colonnade Hotel will be demonstrating their culinary skills alongside educational speakers and educators to include the American Heart Association, Northeastern University, Gloucester Fishermen's Wives Association, Save the Harbor Save the Bay and Massport. The Battle of the Shuckers fierce oyster shucking competition will bring together rivals of Legal Seafoods, Oceanaire Boston, B&G Oysters, Union Oyster House and Max's Oyster Bar.
Artists as well as an interactive children's area with KickinKitchen.TV and the TerraMar Project will be providing attractions for everybody in the family. General admission begins at $10, is free for kids 12 and under and tickets will be available at the entrance. Purchase
