MONTPELIER, Vt. — May 15, 2014 — The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is working with a town in Quebec to prevent sea lamprey from traveling up a tributary of Lake Champlain just north of the Vermont border.
U.S. Sen. Patrick Leahy says the barrier is on the Moprion Cree, a tributary of the Pike River in Notre-Dame-de-Stanbridge, which flows into Lake Champlain's Missisquoi Bay.
