MOBILE, Ala., — May 2, 2014 — The broker between fishermen, their illegal catches and undercover federal agents posing as buyers has pleaded guilty in federal court.
Natalie McArdle, of Foley, is the last of eight individuals to admit her guilt, stemming from an 18-month operation into the illegal harvest and transport reef fish, including red snapper and grouper, across state lines.
Some of the individuals are also accused of “falsifying documents in order to circumvent the Gulf of Mexico Individual Fishing Quota management plan,” according to indictment documents.
