NEW BEDFORD, Mass. — October 23, 2013 — NOAA's Northeast Fisheries Science Center has opened this year's competition for scallop research grant money.
Institutions making proposals have until Dec. 2 to file them with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The Cooperative Research Program has existed for several years, and UMass Dartmouth's School for Marine Science and Technology typically wins several grants each year.
