October 21, 2013 — The following was released by NOAA Fisheries: Effective 1200 hours, October 24, 2013, through December 31, 2013, vessels issued Federal Atlantic herring permits may not fish for, catch, possess or land more than 2,000 lb of herring from Area 3 per trip or calendar day. However, vessels that have entered port before 1200 hours, October 24, 2013 may offload and sell, from that trip, more than 2,000 lb of herring from Area 3. Click here for more information.
