September 25, 2013 — The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission reports bay scallop season is now closed along Florida’s Gulf Coast. As of today, September 25, the season ended and the nearly three month harvest season for bay scallops is now officially closed. The FWC says the harvest closure helps protect and conserve the state’s bay scallop resources.
