April 26, 2013 — Abe & Louie’s steakhouse and Atlantic Fish Co., two restaurants on Boston’s Boylston Street, will reopen for business on Saturday at 5 p.m. after a 12-day closure following the Boston Marathon bombings, the restaurants’ parent company said Friday.
Abe & Louie’s and Atlantic Fish are near each other — and they are also near the site of the second explosion. In the aftermath of the bombings, a stretch of Boylston Street was turned into a crime scene.
Employees of Abe & Louie’s and Atlantic Fish were able to return to the restaurants on Wednesday, said Tavistock Restaurants, the San Franciso-based company that operates more than 100 restaurants across the US under 16 different brand names. Those names include Abe & Louie’s and Atlantic Fish.
Employees at the Boylston Street Abe & Louie’s and Atlantic Fish have spent the last few days repairing, prepping, and cleaning the restaurants, Tavistock Restaurants said.
